WAYNESFIELD — Tom H. Lawrence, age 67 years, passed away April 22, 2017, at 7:50 am, peacefully at his residence. Tom was born July 21, 1949 in Lima, OH, to Raymond H. and Helen J. (Scott) Lawrence who preceded him in death. On August 22, 1970 he married Pamela J. Stimmel Lawrence who survives in Waynesfield.
Tom was a 1967 graduate of Waynesfield High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy and served for four years where he was stationed in the Mediterranean Sea. He concluded his service with 2 years in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Tom had worked at Clark Equipment for a short time until they closed. He then became a plumber with Lippincott Plumbing and Heating where he worked the rest of his career until he retired in 2011. Tom will be remembered as being a loving husband, father and a very hard worker.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his 2 sons; William H. Lawrence and Jeremy L. Lawrence both of Waynesfield, OH, a grandson, Jacob W. Lawrence, 2 brothers; Michael (Rebecca) Lawrence of Lakeview, OH and Steven (Judy) Lawrence of Waynesfield, OH, a sister, Judith (Dennis) Moran of Waynesfield, OH, and his mother in-law, Roberta J. Stimmel of Waynesfield, OH.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Burial will be in the Salem Westminster Cemetery following the service. Military rites will be performed by the VFW #1275 and the U.S. Navy.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westminster United Church of Christ or Community Health Professionals Hospice. Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com.
