  • State Competition: I am very proud to say that all of our apprentices competed hard and represented Local 776 very well at the State Competition! Matthew Petrus, Matt Stone, Joe Gorman & Gage Bellows you have a lot to be proud of!  Also, for those of you who haven’t already heard, Joe Gorman placed 1st in the pipefitter competition.  This is the second year in a row that Local 776 has won the pipefitter portion of the competition.  Joe will be competing in the D2 contest in Lansing, Michigan the first week of June.

 Business Manager Comments

We have been trying our hardest to fill calls locally and have decided that if you are working 40 hours for your contractor and would like to work weekends for other contractors, we will begin allowing you to do that.  For this to happen, you must contact Chewy and let him know that you are interested in working weekends.  As long as you meet the criteria for what the contractor needs and your DISA requirements are met, then we will dispatch you out for that work.  This will need to repeat for every weekend that you decide to work.

Melissa is trying to gain more email addresses for members wishing to receive their newsletters and death benefits via email.  If you are currently receiving those in the US mail and would like to receive them via email. Please call Melissa (or email her at mselby@ualocal776.com) and she can add you to the list.
