Business Manager Comments
I apologize for the mistake in the March newsletter. Motions for appropriations of wages will be taken at the April Union meeting (not the March meeting as stated in last month’s newsletter). We have $2.21 coming for the raise. At the February/March union meeting it was discussed that the health insurance will be needing $2.19, and where the body would like to see that money come from. I encourage anyone that is interested to attend the April union meeting for the discussion on how that will be paid for. Although it is not ideal to be adding so much money to the plan, it is important that we maintain a healthy level of reserves.
Chewy’s Corner
There is still time to get your stick certs up to snuff if you are wishing to head to the data center. Also, the rigging class is about wrapped up but if there is enough interest the training department will put on another class. And work all around the local is about to bust wide open.
Happy April,
Chewy
