There is a special call meeting scheduled for November 4^th at 7pm at the Union Hall to discuss converting our Local Pension to a variable rate Pension with built in cost of living increases.  This would not affect current retirees and is for informational purposes only.  If this is the path that the membership chooses to move towards a vote would take place at a later date.  Please plan to attend to keep yourself informed.  We will have industry experts presenting that have experience with these plans to help answer any questions.  A separate letter will be sent to all members about this meeting as well.

• Death Benefit: We are on Death Benefit #383 James Sylvia. Death Benefits can be paid over the phone, in person or online at ualocal776.com.
• Welcome:  Skylar White, Colson Jones, Owen Askins, Aiden Moore-Shepherd, Brendan Doyle, Doyle Helton and Thomas Meier.  These new members were sworn in during the September union meeting.  If you are working with any of them, please welcome them into Local 776!

 Future Events to put on the Calendar

• Union Meeting: Wednesday October 21^st, 2026 at 7pm
• UA Weld Test: Saturday October 24^th, 2026 at 8 A.M.

Please call Melissa no later than noon the Thursday before to sign up and to check on the status of the test session.

 JATC

• Recertifications: The JATC will be sending out notifications for anyone needing a recertification. Please respond in a timely manner.  If you know you will be needing a recertification and don’t see a class listed or don’t receive a notice, please reach out to the training department.

Business Manager Comments       

Thank you to everyone who showed up for the Labor Day parade and picnic.  Thank you to Mojo and Mike Ciminillo for cooking and thank you to Matt Cunningham and his family for helping with everything in advance!  We had a great showing this year and hope to continue building on that each year that we walk in the parade.
