Phillip W. “Phil” Stauffer, age 80, was called into the presence of the Lord at 5:18 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System. Phil was born January 21, 1942 in Lima, OH, to the late Cloyne W. and Florence E. (Lusk) Stauffer. Phil proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2009 from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #776. Phil enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid golfer. He was a racing fan, especially of NASCAR and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his two sons, Brent (Dionne) Stauffer of Crestview, FL and Craig A. (Patty) Stauffer of Lima; five grandchildren, Justin Andrew Stauffer of Fort Myers, FL, Ian Wesley (Danielle) Stauffer of Anchorage, AK, Tyler Stauffer of Lima, Cody Stauffer of MS and Emily Stauffer of Panama City, FL; one great grandson, Clark Wesley Stauffer of Anchorage AK; Sister, Sandi L. Kruger of Lima, brother-in-law, Robert D. “Rick” Shindeldecker of Harrod; the entire Stauffer and Lusk family and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Gloria Ann Stauffer; 2nd wife, Mary M. Stauffer; sister, Karen M. (Stauffer) Shindeldecker; brother, Robert A. Stauffer and sister-in-law, Donna Stauffer. Phil’s wishes were that no services be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, P.O.
